Oasis Transition Programs

I am interested in the Summer Bridge program for UCSD, but it is a month long, and I'm not sure if I want to do something that takes up that much time. It's summer and I want to enjoy it, and I might get a job(at home) instead of doing the transition program(I would have to do one or the other, can't choose both). The program would allow me to transition, make friends, and get credits, but I'm not sure if it is worth it. I need money because my parents don't have a lot to support me and I know I would not make a lot, but it would be better than having nothing to support myself with. If anyone has heard about summer bridge, can you tell me what you've heard, or if you've done it, what was your experience like?
