i put consistently with the french because it said 'during french and british confrontations', not all the time. the english always wanted to push the indians off their land while the french traded fur with them and i thought it would make more sense. i.e.: french and indian war (and while we're at it there was a question referencing that too lol)

The Iroquois first mer the French when a Frenchmen, Samuel Champlain, travelling with another Native American tribe, the Ottawa's. I definitely was not expecting the heavy focus on colonial/revolutionary period and was really disappointed at the lack of Vietnam, Cold War, and WWII questions it seemed. There was also definitely a heavy focus on civil rights as opposed to any other singular cultural/political issue /: wasn't expecting that.

something about WWI and what was involved EXCEPT:

Zimmermann telegram and unrestricted submarine warfare - definitely involved in WWI and not the answer to this question

The answer was 14 points and the answer about neutrality was Wilson's neutrality IDEALS

This is referring to his idea of freedom of seas and since germany violated that thru USW, it was not the answer.

@diddly 123 it was theodore who was the progressive candidate. Theodore saught another term b/c he bcame disappointed with taft's policies. Remember that the split of a party in US hist always leads to the other side winning.
