    Hi Racin-
You posted about a superb tech writing instructor at your university - CMU, if I recall. Could you tell me his/her name? My youngest son is there and is interested in tech writing.
    Thanks.

    Hey RacinReaver,

I couldn't he;p but notice you are working at Caltech for your Phd. I got accepted into the MURF/SURF programs and was wondering - do you have any idea what they are like? I am sure the environment is fullfilling, but how much is the work load? Thanks in advance.

What's your Phd in by the way?

    Hi Racin Reaver -
I have been reading your posts with interest, and would like to ask you a question about CMU.
My son attended the AP/EA program this summer and is in a dilemma about using the EA option to apply, since it is accept/reject, with no option of deferral. Did you use this option when you applied? If not, why not? Do you know of any other AP/EA'ers who did use the EA option?
The deadline is September 1, making it his first application, of course. That is extra stressful, since CMU is his #1 school.
    Thank you for your help.
